Tech titan Elon Musk in a recent reply to a tweet hinted that the first citizen on mars could be an Artificial Intelligence

Elon Reeve Musk, a tech genius known for his remarkable achievements in science & technology. Musk is mainly known as the CEO of Tesla, Neuralink and SpaceX. He founded SpaceX on May 6, 2002 i.e. 16 years ago with aim of reducing space transportation costs and initializing the process of colonization of Mars.

When we often talk about colonization of Mars, we simply imagine a scenario where humans are living on the “Red Planet”. You might have seen movies where humans leave the Earth in search of other Earth-like planets for colonization. But, is that even possible in today’s world?

Well, the answer is yes. In today’s era with technology at its peak, we can expect a situation when humans will live on other planets. Both NASA and SpaceX are working on the mission of colonizing the red planet. The two space agencies are racing each other for colonization on Mars but only time will tell who reaches the end of the line.

Would the first Martian be an AI?

In a recent tweet asking Musk about his thoughts on the first citizen of Mars to be an intelligent machine rather than a human, Elon Musk replied that there is “30%” possibility that the first Martian could be an AI.

Also, to another tweet asking “How soon will the first group go to colonize Mars,” Musk replied with “7 to 10 years”.

Though, where did that 30% came from is still a mystery but it might be a hint that SpaceX is working on an under development AI. Previously in 2018, Musk revealed that 43 years old entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa, a Japanese billionaire art collector would be the first citizen to have the SpaceX trip to the Moon.

It is yet to see what happens by the end of 2030, till then it’s a suspense what more plans does Elon Musk comes up with.
