CES 2019 Day 2 Highlights

CES is the biggest tech event where brands show case their products that they will be launching Anually. A lot has happened on the second day of the CES 2019.

Here are the amazing products revealed by the big brands.


Intel grabbed all the attention by revealing new 6 cores CPUs for desktop users. They announced new 9th gen processors for all its series (i3 to i9). These new processors will be available in the 1st quarter of 2019.

Moreover, The new Chips are based on 10nm architecture named as Ice Lake. The new setup promises 2x better performance, thunderbolt 3, WiFi 6 and much better power efficiency. But consumers have to wait until quarter 4 of 2019 to get their hands-on new notebooks with Intel’s Ice Lake processors.



Acer announced a new version of Swift 7 and a AMD powered Chrome book. Swift 7 is 14-inch, slim and light Windows 10 notebook. Also, The notebook is made with magnesium- alloy, it’s 9.95mm thick, weighs just 870g and It’s powered by the 8th-gen Intel Core i7-8500Y with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. It will be available starting from $1,699 in the US from May 2019.

Also, the Acer Chromebook 315 with Radeon graphics has a 15.6-inch full HD display and it is available in touch and non-touch versions. Acer has also updated the Predator Triton with new Nvidia RTX 2080 graphics, with two models, a 17-inch 4K version and a 15.6-inch version.


HP has used CES to update the Omen 15 by introducing a 240Hz display. Moreover, this gaming laptop is powered by the Intel Core i7-8750H, with a 128GB SSD running alongside a 1TB HDD and has B&O speakers. The new machine with 240Hz display won’t be available until July 2019. There’s also a 65-inch Omen gaming display and Obelisk gaming desktop, available from March.

Elsewhere, HP has an AMD-powered Chromebook 14 to rival Acer and the HP Spectre 15 x360 now has an OLED display.

Huawei- Huawei has revealed a new affordable Matebook. New Matebook 13 is slim, light weight and it comes with i5 & i9 configuration. Huawei has kept new products slim and simple to make them affordable.

Google Assistant based AI products

Lenovo Smart Clock

The new Lenovo Smart Clock is designed for the bedroom and is aimed at helping users when they begin and end with their daily routines. The Smart Clock, available in this spring for $79, this new Smart Clock has 4 inch touch screen display and it will control all smart devices at your home.

Philips Hue

With Wake and Sleep lighting effects, there’s a new Philips Hue feature in which you will be able to integrate alarm and lighting settings to start your day off right.

Smart irrigation system

Rachio 3 smart sprinkler system and Rain bird ST8 will let you use Google Assistant voice commands to start and stop garden and lawn watering from home or away.

Home appliances

A lot of smart home appliances were announced from brands like whirlpool, McAfee, Secure Home.

Appliances that will work with the help of Google Assistant includes the Instant Pot Smart Wi-Fi Programmable Pressure Cooker, Sub Zero’s refrigerator and wine storage, U by Moen shower, Wolfe E-Series and M-Series ovens, and Rheem water heater and thermostat.
